Julie Chen Moonves is the host of the 22nd season which premiered on CBS 5 August 2018. Chen Moonves served as the moderator and one of the early hosts on The Talk. She won the Daytime Emmy Award for her work. She was a writer before becoming host, but her passion was to write. In fact, it earned the show an Emmy. In addition, she won the Emmy for hosting, and an award-winning television talkshow. Between 2002 and the year 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Her previous roles included anchoring CBS Morning News and The Early Show. After the terrorist attacks on 9/11 Chen Moonves uncovered the father and lead hijacker for a thrilling and exclusive interview. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news programme, profiling celebrities like Paula Abdul. Chen Moonves has also worked with the network's New York City station WCBS as a reporter, anchor and anchor (1997-1999). Prior to joining CBS News at the beginning of 1995 Chen Moonves had been an anchor and reporter for WDTN TV Dayton. Previous jobs included working as a reporter with ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliate news channel (1992-1995) and a desk-assistant for the ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991), all while she was finishing her final year in university from the University of Southern California.
